Enterprise procurement questionnaires ask for your EU representative's name and address. A blank field stalls deals — closing this gap takes days, not months.

Non-compliance risk

Do you need an EU representative?

Three conditions. All true → Article 27 applies.

01

No EU establishment

No entity, branch or office in any member state.

02

You reach people in the EU

EU users sign up — or your analytics tracks them.

03

The exemption doesn't fit

Your processing isn't occasional and low-risk.

I advise fintech, AI, and regulated technology businesses on how to operate and scale in complex regulatory environments. Working with founders and leadership teams, I focus on regulatory strategy, licensing, and building compliant, scalable structures that can withstand scrutiny across jurisdictions.

With 15+ years of experience, my work centers on financial services regulation, governance, and risk frameworks across payments, fintech, and emerging technology models. This includes structuring licensing approaches, defining regulatory positioning, and engaging with regulators in key markets.

I am typically involved at critical points — market entry, new product launches, or periods of regulatory pressure — where legal and regulatory decisions directly shape the trajectory of the business. My approach is pragmatic and business-oriented. I turn regulatory complexity into strategic choices and enable companies to move forward with confidence.

Frequently asked questions

Is the EU representative the same as a DPO?

No — different roles under different articles. Some companies need both; best practice is separate persons. We provide either or both. Need more than a representative? We also serve as your outsourced DPO.

Do we need an EU entity for this?

No. That's the point of Article 27 — it exists precisely for companies without an EU establishment.

Which countries does your representation cover?

Representation from Luxembourg covers your obligation across the EU. If you also serve the UK, a separate UK representative is required — ask us on the call.

How fast can this be live?

Typically within days of the call: mandate signed, policy wording delivered, contact workflow switched on.

What does it cost?

A fixed annual fee, named on the 30-minute call — no hourly billing, no surprises.

We already have EU customers but no representative. Are we in trouble?

The right move is simply to close the gap now. Appointing a representative is fast, and having one materially improves your position in any review.
